2 Red Pears
Oil on masonite board
12″ wide x 9″ high

I wasn’t able to paint these past couple of days as I was sick with the cold along with my 3 kids. It is amazing what school does to the family! so I went to the store to buy fresh fruit for both my paintings and of course for all of us and found these delicious red pears.
When I was about to finish the painting my little one (3 years old) saw my 2 pears arranged for the painting, saw the painting and decided he wanted one of the pears, so I ended up washing the pear and giving it to him. The painting was not completely done, but most of it was, so I finished the painting with one pear as my model instead of 2. I guess that’s the fun part of working at a home based studio, funny things always happen.
Thank you for stopping by.

Very well said. I have been following ebay artists for several years and it is definitely true that most of the successful ones post a new painting every day. “Painting a Day” has been going on for many, many years on ebay. I’m not quite sure why “Painting a Day” is all of a sudden a new movement; but I imagine the recent press in USA Today and the NY Times has a lot to do with it.
