When my husband and I got married, December 22, 1990, my mother-in-law gave us this beautiful crystal candle holder. I found it in one of the boxes of our recent moving a few weeks ago, and wanted the challenge ever since I found it, to paint it in oils. This is not something I normally do, paint glass or crystal, is certainly a very difficult thing to do and I take my hat off to all those artists (impressionist or realist) that can perform this technique with such ease. Anyways, I wanted to try and do it, because I like to challenge myself sometimes.
