Rio Caliente is a small village in the Norht of Spain, in the Asturias Region where my mother in law was born. In 2005 we had the opportunity to visit this village with some of our family members who came from Venezuela just to see the land of our ancestors.

This village is completely lost in the woods. The road to reach the town is so narrow that only one car can go through at a time. There are exactly 3 roads in the village and one of them is the bridge that crosses over the river to go to the other houses and the mountain behind. You would imagine that you can only go with an all terrain vehicle, yet it is an enchanting village filled with friendly people. Many friends of my mother in law and all her relatives. Many have never being out of the town since they were born.

This barn is over 100 years old. Made out of stone picked from the same area and almost abandoned by time but still working from time to time.
