A couple of weeks ago me and my oldest son (15) decided we wanted to start doing something together. Being a bike lover I told him why not going biking? my problem was I didn’t have a bike but he did, but it became too small for him, so I decided to buy him a new mountain bike and I inherited his which is perfect for me.
We started looking around for a mountain bike trail. I remembered one of my friends mentioning a park, but I didn’t remember the name of the park (I’m terrible at remembering names!) so we did a search online for mountain bike trails and one appeared, the mountain bike trail at the Stoney Creek Park (yes, I know the same one where police found the body parts of Tara Grant). It is a gorgeous park! and the mountain bike trail is really great! 15 miles of ups and downs.
But I wasn’t in shape, the last time I did biking I was 18 years old, 21 years ago! so we took it slow, or so I thought! =] at one point I needed a break to drink some water, and we stopped at one of the double trails, that’s when I saw this beautiful scene! I took a picture with my cellphone. A beautiful tree with these gorgeous tiny pink flowers next to the trail, it was just perfect!
So next time you go biking at the Stoney Creek Mountain Bike Trail, and you happen to see that spot, I might be around taking more pictures with my son and our mountain bikes or who knows, I might be with my easel, brushes and paint =]
