The picture that inspired this painting was taken in a beach in the north of Spain, Laga Beach in the Basque Country, well known internationally for its really high waves, being a favorite place for surfers from all over the world. We lived in the Basque Country for almost 2 years, and we visited this beach a couple of times. Very funny as is being said the waters walk. The beach gets literally packed with people, and this day was no different. It took a good deal for us to find parking, but as we arrived this young woman was living the beach. Of course camera in hand, before getting in the water we snapped a bunch of pictures and she happened to be in one of them. It looked like she was really hot and just wanted to leave the beach before melting away.
