I just finished the second piece that will be going to the Lawrence St. Gallery juried exhibition. I still have one more to go, as I’m applying for this exhibit with three paintings. If I get accepted this will be the second juried exhibition I get into for this gallery, so keep your fingers crossed! =]

The image that inspired this painting I took it at the Stoney Creek Park here in Michigan which is about 20 minutes from my home. Is a gorgeous park with a very large lake where I used to go mountain biking with my oldest son before the car accident I had this past June 5th.

Anyways, this was taken very late in the afternoon, it was around 6:30pm and the sun was so bright that I couldn’t resist the temptation and took a bunch of pictures from the people that was still enjoying the last days of summer at one of the beaches. The painting I titled I found something! was also inspired from a photograph on this beach, and the pick bucket on both paintings, yes it is the same bucket. The kids playing in the sand left the shore filled with holes and puddles everywhere, but they were having so much fun!

I changed the title of the painting by the way, I thought it was more appropriate to call it “last day of summer” instead of “I’m coming”… what do you think??
