As I was looking for picture references for my third painting that will be entered for the juried competition at the Lawrence Street Gallery, “Crossword Puzzle”, I found the picture of this young man who was alone at the beach in Miami, Florida. He looked really sad and nostalgic, despite the gorgeous afternoon at the beach. I guess sometimes we feel that way.
