Miami

Well I finally finished all the commissions I had. The last one a gorgeous 48″ x 36″ figurative painting I personally delivered to a customer from the UK who’s living right here in Novi, MI, so I used this weekend to rest (oh! so merited rest!) to start back again my daily paintings which I completely neglected! so I’m finally back to paint my little ones until my next large commission.
My next abstract exhibit which will be in the Miami Design District sometime in July, is getting close. Can’t tell you how exited I am! I’ll be able to tan (hopefully!) and see the sun! I so miss a beach and the sun, especially the sun! living here in Michigan is taking a toll on me and my old time beautiful golden tan which has vanished completely.
So thinking on this and so looking forward to get there to see so many of my old friends I’ve found on facebook.com I looked for the pictures from you guessed it Miami Beach! and I found one, that I completely missed. Armed with my wide brush and my palette I did a quick sketch and literally jumped into the painting…. in case you wonder who the girl is, that’s me, in Miami, on a gorgeous day during Christmas time…. that’s why I love Miami!

Hi Manuela,
Like your blog and the self portrait on the beach. It looks like my world here in California.
I especially like that you also translate your blog in Spanish.
Best of luck. Come back and visit.

Hi Vikki!
Hehehe!! is coming later on today… do you like lavender flowers?
I’m getting ready for a small exhibit so I’m again behind with the daily painting…. I should rename the blog for “a painting whenever I can” LOL!!

Very Funny. Yes, I love lavendar! I have a lavendar painting on my site. This is an Old English poem I put with my painting:
Lavender’s green, dilly dilly, lavender’s blue.
If you love me, dilly, dilly, I will love you.
Let the bird’s sing, dilly, dilly, and the lambs play;
We shall be safe, dilly, dilly, Out of harm’s way.
