From June 2004 until February 2006 we lived in a small town by the sea in the north of Spain called Getxo, 30 minutes north of Bilbao. During that time my husband, who is from Spain got the time to visit all his family and the places were his parents grew up. One of this places is a small village called Rio Caliente in the Asturias region. In this village was born my mother in law and all my husband’s family on his mother side. The village is small, lost in time and just a few homes are found. And old bridge connects the two sides of the town which are separated by a beautiful creek.

Desde Junio 2004 hasta Febrero 2006 vivimos en un pueblito a orillas de la playa en el norte de España llamado Getxo, 30 minutos al norte de Bilbao. Durante este tiempo mi esposo, quien es de España tuvo la oportunidad de visitar a su familia y los lugares donde sus padres crecieron. Uno de estos lugares es una villa pequeña llamada Rio Caliente en la region de Asturias. En esta villa fué donde su madre nació y donde nació el resto de la familia de mi esposo por el lado materno. La villa es pequeña, perdida en el tiempo y solo cuenta con algunas casas. Un puente viejo conecta los dos lados del pueblo que están separados por un riachuelo hermoso.
