an afternoon with the french rolls daily painting a day

When traveling through out Europe, particularly through France during the late summer, early fall time, the thing that I look for the most is seeing those bright golden fields splattered with those enourmous hay rolls.

I had the desire all week to make another painting, yet our clinic is busy, since we are all, and I mean all 5 of us sick in bed with a horrendous flu. I’ve being feeling a little better for the past 2 days, at least no more fever (yay!), and since hubby is here cooking despite him feeling so sick with the flu I was able to enter into the studio today. I started the painting this morning, yet not in one sitting as I would have loved and as I used, darn neck and arm pain are stuck in my body, but in blocks of 15-20 minutes throughout the day, so today was a long day of resting and a little bit of painting.

This painting was more loose, sort of than my usual one, yet I really enjoyed painting it. The problem with doing a painting in blocks rather than in one sitting is the natural light changes so much that I had to adjust my palette every time I was entering the studio for another short session, which happened in total about 13 times throughout the day.
