Michigan Farm - A Painting a Day, Daily Painting, Plein Air
Oil on Board / 10″ x 8″
available

It’s been a while since I have posted anything on this blog! slowly I’m retaking the painting of small paintings, very slowly!

This one was finished today on location. For the first day in over 6 months we had a gorgeous finally warm day today here in Michigan, so I decided to take the bull by the horns, forget the pain and jump on my bike. The last time I rode a bike was in 2007 before the car accident, and although 3 years later I’m still suffering from pain, I decided pain was not going to take away my freedom nor my life, so pain, or no pain, I’m determined to go back to do the things I was doing before the accident and biking and plein air paintings were in my agenda today.

So, this morning I went for a ride and found a nice spot right inside my neighborhood that points to a quite quirky farm. So I headed back home, took a shower, got my gear and went to this location for a first plein air experience in years. I was able to finish the painting on location despite the burning sun, the bugs and the nonetheless annoying wind.

This painting is available at auction at the link above.
