+ Do you offer special discount to galleries?

Yes. Galleries can choose to represent Valenti's works on a consignment basis or purchase directly to receive wholesale prices. To buy paintings directly from the Studio, galleries would need to register for a dealers account to receive special prices on originals and prints A minimum purchase of $10.000 is required.

+ Do you offer special discounts to interior designers and dealers?

Yes. Interior designers, dealers, architects, high end contemporary furniture stores, can receive wholesale prices for limited editions prints and originals paintings when registering for a dealers account. A minimum purchase of $10,000.00 is required to receive the discount.

+ What's the wholesale price for galleries and dealers?

We currently offer two plans for galleries, art dealers, interior designers, architects and anyone in the art industry.
Option A: 65% off on original works and 30% off on limited edition prints and posters. A minimum purchase of $10,000.00 is required to take advantage of these discounts.
Option B: If you wish to buy individual pieces for your gallery without meeting the minimum purchase requirement of $10.000, your gallery receives a 50% discount on all originals and 15% discount on limited edition prints and posters. You can print out from our website the available listings of paintings and prints that most apply to your clientele or if you prefer we can provide you with a printed catalog of the available paintings per category so you can offer your clients a wide variety of works without having to carry them in your gallery or purchase them in advance. Your client picks the painting he/she wants to buy from the catalog, your process the sale for the retail price + shipping and you order the painting directly from our website at wholesale price. The painting will arrive to your gallery/location perfectly packaged and ready to hang with all the paper work for your client.

Thank you for your interest in Valenti's art. We currently offer galleries 2 options to represent Valenti's works (please read above "What's the wholesale price break for galleries and dealers?"). My Account Area ::

+ How do I create an account?

You can create an account after you drop items in your cart during the checkout process, or click the Register link at the top of the page. When you register for an account you can purchase, bid and even send gift certificates to anyone via email.

+ How do I login to my account?

Click the login link at the top of the page. Enter your ID and password.

+ I Forgot my Password, How do I recover it?

In the login page, click the forgot your password link. Enter the email address you used when you signed up for your account. You will receive an email with a new password.

+ How do I redeem an e-Gift Certificate?

You'll need to register for an account to be able to use and redeem e-Gift Certificates. E-Gift Certificates are electronic gift certificates. If you receive a e-Gift Certificate by email it will contain details of who sent you the e-Gift Certificate, along with possibly a short message from them. The email will also contain the e-Gift Certificate Redemption Code. It is probably a good idea to print out this email for future reference. You can redeem the e-Gift Certificate in two ways.

1. By clicking on the link contained within the email for this express purpose. This will take you to the Redeem e-Gift Certificate page. You will be requested to create an account or login to your account, before the e-Gift Certificate is validated and the funds placed in your e-Gift Certificate Account.

2. Redeem your e-Gift Certificate by visiting this page http://www.mnauelavalenti.com/index.php?main_page=gv_faq&faq_item=4 and follow the instructions.

+ How do I check the balance on my e-Gift Certificate Account?

Login to your account. Your balance will display in your e-Gift Certificate Account box.

+ How do I use the funds in my e-Gift Certificate Account?

Add items to your cart and click checkout. You'll be asked to login to your account. On step 2 of checkout look for the e-Gift Certificate box. Your e-Gift Certificate balance is displayed right below the Apply Amount box. To use your funds simply add any amount in the Apply Amount box and proceed with checkout.

+ How do I send an e-Gift Certificate to a friend using the balance on my e-Gift Certificate Account?

Login to your account. In your My Account Information page you'll see an e-Gift Certificate Account box reflecting your balance. If the balance is enough and you wish to send and e-Gift Certificate to a friend or family member, simply click the "Send a Gift Certificate" button and follow the instructions. If the balance is not enough and you wish to purchase more balance for your account, simply go to the e-Gift Certificates page to order more.

+ Do I need to register an account to place my a bid on your auctions?

Yes, to bid on any of the items listed at auction on manuelavalenti.com/store, you need to register for a free account with us.

+ Do I need to enter my Credit Card or Bank Account number when I register for a new account?

No! by law we do not request nor store any financial information when you open an account or place a purchase. Registering an account with us is FREE and safe. The only information required are your name, last name, billing and shipping address (in case they are different), phone number and email address.

Auction Bidding ::

+ Do I need an account to bid?

Yes, to bid on any of the items listed at auction you need to register for a free account with us. To register for your free account simply click the Register/Login link at the top right corner on any page.

+ How do I place my bid?

To place your bid login into your account or click the "Register or Login to Bid" button on the auction. Once logged in enter the amount you want and click the "Submit Bid" button. Be careful when entering the amount you wish, since the system doesn't work like eBay. We don't use the proxy-bidding system like eBay, so whatever amount you enter would be the amount you will be paying for the product when the auction is over. The system works more like a silent auction, where the price offered is the price paid.

+ Is it safe to bid on your site?

Absolutely! manuelavalenti.com has a built in online security system designed to provide our clients a safe place to buy and bid. We count with a 256-bit SSL Certificate, the highest on the internet, which protects you while placing your bid or making a purchase or simply when login in to your account. The SSL acts as a shield, protecting you and your transactions on our site. When you register or login to your account you will notice the lock on the bottom of your screen and the https:// on the browser's URL on our site which indicates your information is being secured and transmitted encoded for security purposes. On top when you register with us we don't request any financial information, only your name, last name, email, phone number and physical address, all information required to fulfill your order at the time of purchase. + Can I cancel my bid?

I'm afraid not, once a bid is placed it results in a contract between the artist and you and can't be canceled. So please if you are not planning to pay for the item, don't bid. The system was designed to prevent shill bidding.

+ What if I was outbid?

You can always come back to place a higher bid. If you are out-bided you will receive an email notifying you that you were out-bided.

+ What is a Reserve Price?

Reserve Price is the minimum amount that needs to be reached for the item to sell at auction. If the reserve is not reached during the bidding process the item is not sold. In some cases the auction will be listed with a lower starting price but with a Reserve Price. In this case, the listing will show the item would have a higher ending price.

+ What's the bid increment?

The bid increment is set up for all the auctions at $10, that means you will need to add $10 to the current bid to be able to become the higher bidder. If the amount you are entering is lower the system will send you a warning notifying you that the bid you placed is too low.

+ My account was suspended, why?

Chances are this will never happen. The main reason for an account to get suspended is for irregularities during the bidding process (shill bidding or others) or if the bidder never intended to pay for the item in first place. We wanted to create a fun environment for Valenti's collectors but at the same time we want to make it safe for anyone to bid and win. Since 2000 Valenti has offered her original works not only on galleries in the US and abroad but at auction on the big auction house eBay, reaching high prices in many cases over passing gallery prices.

In 2004 eBay made terrible changes to their systems causing the search and category systems to collapse, while opening the doors to China a while later. These changes created the perfect place for frauds, scam artists, copycats and plagiarists to grow and multiply to what is today the worse place to buy art. Manuela's paintings have increased in value tremendously since she moved to the United States in 1999 and eBay was not fulfilling her marketing expectations after the 2004 catastrophe.

Tired of having to deal with plagiarists, copyright violators, fraudulent sellers and whatnot that went unpunished despite not only eBay's own violated policies but the violation of business law, Valenti decided to look for other more secure and respectful venues where to offer her works, and that's how the idea of opening her own auction site to her vast collector's base was born in late 2007. Today Valenti only offers some of her limited edition prints on ebay, while continuing to raise the value of her original works for her and her avid collectors from all corners of the world.

+ Is the bidding process the same as on eBay?

No. The bidding process on eBay works with something called "Proxy-Bidding" in which the system raises the bid up to the higher amount you have entered. Our system works more like "Silent Bidding" in which the higher amount you have entered as your bid, will be the amount you would pay for the item, so you would need to be careful at the amount you enter.

+ I'm the winner of an auction, how do I pay?

Congratulations! to pay for your your item, login to your account and visit the auction you just won. If you are the higher bidder for that auction you will see the "Pay Now" button, just click on it and follow the instructions. You can pay with Visa, Master Card, American Express and Discover through out merchant account. We also accept PayPal, Google Check Out, Money Orders and International Wire Transfers.

+ How much shipping for my auction?

The shipping system will calculate the different shipping options we offer based on the item weight and your location. Just select the one you prefer during your checkout process.

+ How can I leave feedback?

Leaving feedback couldn't be easier. Login to your account. Look for the item you won in the @Auction categories and click the "Write a Review" button. Or if you prefer you can leave a more broad testimonial on our Testimonials page.
 

Returns and Refunds ::

+ I would like to return the painting I bought from you a month ago. I changed my decor and is not matching anymore.

In most cases, sales are final. In some cases you can return a painting no later than 2 weeks after receiving the painting for a valid reason or because you ran into a problem during shipping. In the case of paintings not matching your decor and after a month we don't accept returns. We can provide you do a gallery in your are that would be thrilled to take the painting from you.

+ What is your return policy?

In the case of paintings and limited edition prints all sales are final. However returns are accepted if misrepresentation of the product occurred or if the item was damaged during shipping. In the case you need to return your painting/print, please contact the studio as you will have only 14 days from the arrival of your package to return the work back to us. Make sure to include as much detail as possible. In the case of apparel and merchandise, you will have 10 days to return the item for a full refund.

Shipping ::

+ Do you ship to my country?

We ship worldwide via USPS and FedEx where USPS can't reach.

+ How much is shipping for my item?

Shipping and handling is charge automatically by USPS and FedEx. During the checkout process you will be prompted to the shipping options based on the shipping address you provided.

+ Will you insure my package?

Insurance is optional for purchases of less than $149.00 and required for purchases of $150 and more. Insurance is automatically calculated during the checkout process along with the shipping charges.

+ Do I have to pay customs??

Unfortunately some countries are not exempt of taxes for art, and when your package arrives destination it will have to clear customs (pay taxes) to be delivered to you. Any custom duties, taxes and any other charge that the country of destination might apply are the responsibility of the customer. The shipping and handling charges do not include any custom duties that your country might impose. We do not mark packages as gifts or samples as this is an illegal practice in the US.

+ I purchased your painting for the day (daily painting) when would you ship it?

If you have purchased the still wet painting for the day, your painting will need approximately 10 days to dry to be able to ship it, so in all you should receive your painting in about 2 weeks from the time you purchased it if you live in the US.

+ I live in Detroit, can I pick my painting up at your studio/gallery?

Certainly. Please during checkout make sure to select studio pick up so we can schedule an appointment for you.
 

Payment ::

+ What methods of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Master, American Express and Discovery. We also accept PayPal, Google Checkout, Money Order (for US customers only), Personal Checks (for US customers only) and International Wire Transfer (a $20 processing fee will be added to all international wire transfer payments). We also take cash for local pick up only.

+ How do you secure my information?

We count with 256-bit SSL shopping cart which means Secure Socket Layer, which is the standard for Internet Protocol (IP) transactions or data transmitting on the internet ensuring that all the transactions are encrypted while traveling on the internet preventing scammers to get your information. On top we have partnered with Authorize.net who also offers SSL when processing your credit card. For more information please read our privacy policy.

+ Do you store my Credit Card information?

No. It is illegal to store credit card information since June 2006. We don't store your credit card information in any way. We count with Authorize.net a leading company in credit card processing that will process your credit card via SSL and will confirm and approve your purchase.

+ Can I print any image on your website to give away to a friend or to sell in my store?

No. That is a federal violation of Valenti's copyright penalized with a fine of up to $150.000,00 plus lawyer fees per stolen work. You CAN NOT reproduce, print or create derivative works of any of Valenti's works found on her website or other websites for any purpose without the artist written consent. Valenti holds absolute copyright of all her works whether the original painting has sold or not. For more information on copyright in the US please visit www.copyright.gov.

+ I purchased an original painting directly from your studio, can I create prints?
