On my Easel Right Now – A New Opportunity to Collect Art

On My Easel Right Now is a new section I’ve created on my website featuring a work-in-progress that I happen to be working on at the moment.

This came out after many of my clients, collectors and galleries wanted not only to have a chance to see what I’m currently working on but wanted a chance to buy it before anyone else. So after a lot of thinking we decided it would be great to give my collectors a financial break and give them the chance to buy the new freshly painted artwork for a fraction of it cost before it’s released at regular gallery retail price.

The duration of the bidding process would be set for what I calculate would be the time it would take me to complete the painting plus 10 more days to allow the painting to dry. This time frame would be enough for you my collector to decide if you just can’t live without it and place your bid. The bidding starts very, very low compared to the retail price of the finished painting (which is shown on the listing). The paintings in this section are medium, large and x-large in size.

Different from eBay, the bidding process is straight forward, what you bid is what you pay. My system doesn’t use any proxy-bidding making the bidding process more exciting and fun! (I always found proxy-bidding took away the fun and excitement of the actual bidding process, don’t you think?).
