On my second year in the state of Michigan, after a year of dealing with neck pain after a car accident, I decided to ditch all the medication that was prescribed to me, and learn to live with my disability on my own terms.

So I did what I do best, I grabbed my camera and went for a walk. In my walk I discovered we had a cute, small farm right outside my subdivision on the outside skirts of a small town, which was packed with pumpkins and people looking to get their fall decorations. I was finally in my element! People, colors, and a rare but so welcoming, bright sunny day. I was immediately feeling better about myself having a purpose, other than sitting down feeling sorry about my pain, the accident and trying to remember if I had taken the pill that would prevent the effects of the previous pill I had taken 2 hours before.

In the midst of taking pictures, this young woman almost pose for my camera. Back in my studio a quick small oil painting, part of my at the time, not so daily paintings.
